Quality is being created here metre by metre for metres

Behind every high-quality bungee cord that leaves our production facility in Solingen is a strong team in our braiding shop. Here, yarn, rubber threads and decades of know-how are used to manufacture durable, high-quality bungee cords that are used in a wide variety of applications worldwide.

In our braiding department, two experienced employees work together with our managing director Andreas Neumann and our technical employee Tobias Langensiepen. Together, with great care, ongoing quality checks and a wealth of expertise, they ensure that every bungee cord meets our customers' exact requirements.

From planning to weaving

Before an order reaches the braiding shop, it is carefully prepared in the office. Customer requirements are checked, materials are selected, technical details are coordinated and production is planned. In the process, all questions relevant to the braiding shop are clarified, such as: how many and which yarn threads, how many and which rubber threads, what elongation, what diameter and how many metres of rope are needed. Actual manufacturing only begins once all the information is available.

Then the required yarns are prepared, for which rewinding takes place from larger supply spools onto smaller machine spools. Subsequently, the rubber is prepared, for which, depending on the requirements, the rubber is first split into individual threads in order to then assemble the appropriate number of rubber threads. Yarn and rubber are carefully loaded into the braiding machines, during which the entire machine is prepared and adjusted to set it to the required specifications.

Experience, Calculation, checks: crucial for quality

Setting up the braiding machine is a crucial operational step. Various gears are used to precisely adjust the elongation, thickness, and construction that the resulting bungee cord is to have.

These settings are based not only on technical calculations, but above all on years of experience and a thorough knowledge of the machines. Even the smallest changes can affect the properties of the finished rubber rope.

Therefore, after the machine has been set up and started up, a test piece is cut off and checked on our testing machine. If the elongation, diameter or force do not yet meet the specifications, the settings are adjusted and checked again. Only when all values are correct is the machine left to run and quality controls are carried out at longer intervals than during setup.

These regular checks are an important part of our commitment to quality and ensure that our customers receive a consistently high-quality product at all times.

Our braiding shop: craft, experience and modern technology

Our braiding shop combines traditional craftsmanship with modern testing technology and carefully planned production. Each step builds on the previous one, helping to transform individual yarns and rubber threads into a top-quality elastic rope.

The collaboration of our two employees in the braiding department with managing director Andreas Neumann and technical director Tobias Langensiepen ensures that specialist knowledge, experience and continuous quality control are packed into every single metre of rubber rope.

Because high-quality bungee cords do not happen by chance, they are created by people who master their craft and work with passion every day to produce the best possible quality.

Our rubber types: Neoprene

Neoprene as an elastomer for our quality rubber ropes Neoprene, chemically known as chloroprene rubber (CR), is a proven synthetic elastomer material for customised, technically sophisticated rubber ropes. In our production, we use neoprene specifically where constant elasticity, high environmental resistance and mechanical reliability are required. The combination of a high-quality neoprene core and precisely matched textile braiding results in neoprene rubber ropes that [...]

Our rubber types: High Performance

High-performance elastomers for maximum performance rubber ropes High-performance elastomers stand for the highest technical requirements, extreme resilience and maximum process reliability. In our rubber rope production, these specialised elastomers are used wherever standard materials such as natural rubber or neoprene reach their limits. High-performance rubber ropes are specifically developed for applications that require permanently high mechanical, thermal or chemical loads. Thanks to precisely matched [...]
