Our rubber types: Cold elastic

Cold-elastic elastomers for reliable rubber ropes at low operating temperatures

Cold-elastic elastomers are specifically designed to retain their elasticity and functionality even at sub-zero temperatures to receive reliably. In our Production let's put cold-elastic Rubber always when bungee cords must function reliably under winter conditions, in cool environments or with prolonged exposure to cold.

Through targeted material selection and high-quality textile braiding, cold-elastic rubber ropeswhich remain flexible even in frost and provide a constant restoring force.

Properties and benefits of cold-flexible elastomers as the core of our rubber ropes

Cold-elastic elastomers are characterised by the fact that the material remains elastic even at sub-zero temperatures and does not become brittle. The advantages of cold-elastic elastomers include

  • Reliable elasticity at low temperatures
  • reduced hardening on exposure to cold
  • Uniform elastic and restoring properties
  • High functional reliability in winter conditions
  • Constant restoring force even in frost
  • Slight increase in stiffness compared to standard elastomers
  • High tear resistance for tensile and impact loads
  • Reliable stretching without material fracture
  • typical area of application: up to approx. –20 °C (depending on the compound)
  • noticeably better low-temperature flexibility than standard rubber ropes
  • stable function with temperature changes around the freezing point
  • Good resistance to moisture and wetness
  • reduced embrittlement during freeze-thaw cycles

Cold-flexible elastomers are the perfect solution for Rubber cords for use at low temperatures or for permanent outdoor useThey ensure flexibility, safety and constant tensile strength even in frost. In our bungee cord production, we develop and manufacture cold-elastic bungee cords that are specifically designed for low temperatures and particularly demanding environmental conditions.

Areas of application for cold-elastic rubber ropes

Low-temperature elastic rubber ropes are primarily used when the rubber rope is to be exposed to extremely low temperatures or is used permanently outdoors:

  • Outdoor applications in winter climates
  • Logistics, transport and securing in cold weather
  • Refrigerated and frozen areas
  • Outdoor, Sports and Leisure products
  • Technical applications with low ambient temperatures

Sustainability with real impact For us, sustainability means more than environmentally friendly materials, efficient processes or durable products. For us, sustainability also encompasses the idea of how we take responsibility for people in our society. For this reason, we have once again made a conscious decision this year to forego traditional gifts and instead honour our commitment to [...]

Our yarns: Polyethylene

Polyethylene (PE) - abrasion-resistant and durable When manufacturing our products, we consistently focus on quality and performance - and this starts with the selection of the right yarn, because choosing the right yarn material is a decisive factor for the performance and durability of technical textiles such as our rubber ropes. One of the four specialised yarn types that we [...]
